Working Principle of the Mini Catalizador's Mini Catalytic Converter
Share
Catalytic Conversion Process:
The mini catalytic converter in the Mini Catalizador utilizes a ceramic honeycomb structure, coated with precious metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium. These precious metals act as catalysts, effectively oxidizing and converting harmful emissions.
Through the catalytic reaction, the mini catalytic converter transforms harmful gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and hydrocarbons (HC) in the vehicle's exhaust into harmless carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O), while also converting nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and oxygen.
Simulating Normal Catalytic Converter Function:
In modified vehicles, high-flow catalytic converters or the removal of the original catalytic converter often cause the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to detect abnormalities in the exhaust system, triggering the Check Engine Light (CEL).
Mini Catalizador simulates the normal function of a traditional catalytic converter through its mini catalytic converter, sending the expected exhaust data to the ECU, making it believe the catalytic converter is still functioning properly, thus eliminating the CEL issue.
Adjusting Position and Protecting the O2 Sensor:
Mini Catalizador also adjusts the position of the O2 sensor to prevent it from being exposed directly to high-temperature, high-speed exhaust flows, protecting the O2 sensor from damage.
This design not only extends the lifespan of the O2 sensor but also ensures that the exhaust system can accurately provide the necessary feedback data to the ECU, maintaining the engine's proper operation and optimizing performance.
High-Temperature Durability and Compatibility:
The mini catalytic converter is made of high-quality T-304 stainless steel, offering excellent high-temperature durability and corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 620°C.
It is compatible with various modified vehicle exhaust systems, including high-flow catalytic converters, test pipes, turbocharged, and non-turbocharged vehicles, covering over 99% of models on the market.
Simple Installation and Quick Response:
The installation process for Mini Catalizador is straightforward, requiring no welding or electrical modifications. Simply connect it to the existing O2 sensor and reinstall it into the exhaust system.
Once installed, it responds quickly, improving the exhaust system's performance, eliminating the CEL issue, and boosting the engine's power and efficiency.
